Michelle Grant-Murray’s RoseWater Presented Miami Dade College's Live Arts Miami

An unforgettable piece of dance theater, RoseWater is inspired by the ancestral practice of rosewater baths and the antiquity of the artist’s recipe passed down from her grandmother. The performance masterfully blends sobering revelations with hopeful inquiry, calling for transformational change and the acknowledgement of the multigenerational legacy of healing and restoration passed down through ancestral lines in Black communities. A live, outdoor event to both inform and inspire, delight and denounce, reveal and transform our world. A timely call to reconnect to our ancestors and plumb the past for hope, healing and other treasures. A dancer’s guide to surviving, and thriving, in the wake of environmental racism and the global climate crisis. Refresh and inform yourself with a magical night of socially-engaged dance at the beautiful Pinecrest Gardens and come celebrate the start of the LALA Performance Series in the company of some of Miami's most talented performers. This live performance is free and open to the public. Two nights only. Limited seats available. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part of the LALA Performance Series This project kicks off the much-anticipated LALA Performance Series, the capstone for Live Arts Miami’s Live Arts Lab Alliance Artist (LALA) residency program.
