Siudy Flamenco BAILAORA Presented by Arsht Center

“Garrido is a brilliant soloist with a vibrant company.” - Los Angeles Times SIUDY FLAMENCO BAILAORA - within me, within you by Siudy Garrido After a successful world premiere in Miami in 2019, Bailaora – within me, within you returns by popular demand! Bailaora – within me, within you traces the evolution of flamenco from a New World perspective. Award-winning choreographer and dancer Siudy Garrido is recognized for her contemporary work in flamenco. Her company has collaborated with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and flamenco stars Farruquito and Antonio Canales. The music in Bailaora pairs traditional flamenco instrumentation with synthesized sounds. The narrative takes an emotional journey through dance that results in a humanist and feminist commentary on self-invention and self-determination, revealing the vulnerability and inner strength of a warrior whose only voice is her art. Arsht Center Commitment to Health and Safety The Arsht Center remains deeply committed to the health and peace of mind of our guests, artists and staff. Based on guidance from national and local health officials, these performances are seated at full capacity. Face coverings are required.
