Antonio Moreno "Polito" - LUCHA Presented by CCEMiami and MDCA

The multifaceted flamenco dancer Antonio Moreno Fernández “Polito” presents his new show “LUCHA”, a journey and a tour of his intense professional career that goes from 1991 to the present. His unique performance of exquisite elegance and avant-garde reveals his energy and virtuosity on stage. Polito is part of one of the most important families of flamenco artists in Spain, he is the cousin of Farruquito. Polito has danced with the most renowned flamenco companies and artists. He was part of the company of Joaquin Cortes, Manuela Carrasco, Antonio Canales, and Tomatito. He has also had the fortune to be a dancer to Beyoncé, Madonna, and Marc Anthony, as well as Antonio Carmona and Estrella Morente. Lately, he has been the opening act of the singer Rosalía.

George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker Presented by Miami City Ballet

A Magical Experience for the Whole Family! When Miami City Ballet staged its new production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® in 2017, our audiences were delighted that a South Florida dance company could create a winter wonderland despite the lack of snow. Every season since, we have continued to capture the holiday spirit with this captivating display of Balanchine’s choreography performed by over 100 dancers against a background of spirited Tchaikovsky music, dazzling costumes, and glimmering sets. Leave the world behind, and treat yourself and your family to seeing the stunning Miami version of this classic piece, snowflakes and all! “Exquisite dancing, music, and costumes” – The Miami Herald Recommended for ages 4 and up. Dance NOW! Program I featuring "Random Patterns of Falling Leaves" and other works

Kick your holiday season off right with this saucy contemporary dance interpretation of the Nutcracker. “Clara” charts the journey of a young woman, exploring and experiencing the unknown, in search of love, identity and self-determination. The evening will also include the Dance NOW! Classic “Chronicles” and “Introducing,” a world premiere contemporary ballet trio.

Fall for Dance NOW! Presented by Dance NOW! Miami

Dance NOW! Miami, the resident dance company of the Miami Beach Bandshell returns for its annual evening of dance under the autumn skies. The performance will feature a sneak preview of the season to come with excerpts from "Clara," DNM’s spicy interpretation of the holiday classic, “The Nutcracker,” and excerpts of “Gli Altri/The Others” the poignant social commentary fresh off the company’s tour to Italy.

The highly anticipated annual Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler returns for its 13th edition with performances on two Florida coasts, featuring 10 of the best of Florida’s companies and choreographers. From ballet to modern, contemporary to flamenco, the curated showcase includes Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, Ballet Flamenco La Rosa, Ballet Vero Beach, Dance NOW! Miami, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami, Omayra Amaya Flamenco Dance Company, Emily Ricca, Syncopate Collective, New World Dance Ensemble and the Zest Collective.

Sol e Lua Annual Belt Ceremony and Encounter Presented by Sol e Lua Cultural Arts Center

5 days of workshops in Capoeira, percussion, music, Afro Brazilian dance , Samba and Maculele as well as beach Tim, sharing and the magic that Miami is known for. Capoeira and Samba are art forms rich in culture, movement, rhythm, and song. The encounter is a annual event with workshops, learning and sharing that culminates in a community celebration with performances and a belt ceremony in which members of Sol e Lua Cultural Arts Center receive recognition for their training and efforts.
