Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami presents Spanish Classical Nights

Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami (CCBM) presents their exciting premier of “Spanish Classical Night” in collaboration with Sanctuary of the Arts Choreographic Ensemble.

Tracing the roots of our Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, “Spanish Classical Night” features the best of the classical Spanish inspired repertoire emphasizing the relationship between classical ballet and traditional Spanish dance that has been a powerful influence on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries ballet repertoire.

The program features: “Paquita”, staged for the Imperial Ballet of St. Petersburg in 1881, “Esmeralda” pas de six, inspired by the novel Notre-Dame de Paris, the world famous “Don Quixote” pas de deux, based on the famous Miguel de Cervantes novel, and a CCBM World Premiere of “La Casa de Bernarda Alba” (The House of Bernarda Alba) that honors the renowned Spanish writer Federico Garcia Lorca with this original ballet inspired by the legacy of his literary work.
