Dino-Light was the recipient of the prestigious Jim Henson Foundation Grant and is the first feature-length theatrical production created and performed by creators Ian Carney and Corbin Popp. In this original storyline, a famous scientist with magic powers brings a friendly dinosaur to life. When the dinosaur wanders away from home, he discovers a world full of creatures that light up the darkness and help him find the meaning of love. This glow-in-the-dark adventure is visually stunning and has been praised for its cutting-edge blend of puppetry, technology, and dance by audiences all over the world.

Deering Estate will serve as a venue for the 18th edition of the Miami short Film Festival on Tuesday, November 5 through Friday, November 8. This year the festival highlights over 60 shorts from around the globe, diving into topics such as immigration, adoption, gun control, environment, family, and more. The festival evenings are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy a cash bar from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with screenings beginning at 7 p.m. The program will be held at the Deering Estate's Visitor Center Theatre. Each evening of the 18th edition of the Miami short Film Festival program at Deering Estate will be curated by theme. On Friday, November 8: In "Slippery Corners of the Mind," we all try to navigate the dark veils that hide our lurking inner self behind shadows, but are not always successful.
