The Leopard (World Premier) Presented by Frost Opera Theater

A world premiere opera presented in Frost Opera Theater and Frost Symphony Orchestra's inaugural appearance at the SMDCAC. The Leopard, by composer Michael Dellaira and librettist J.D. McClatchy, was adapted from Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa’s internationally acclaimed novel Il Gattopardo and made famous with the film version starring Burt Lancaster (1963 Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner). Conducted by Maestro Gerard Schwarz, this production features Frost faculty baritone Kim Josephson in the title role, sharing the stage with Frost students, alumni, and faculty.
