Join us on Saturday October 22nd for a special tour of the Miami Design District, featuring artist A.L. Steiner (Miami, b. 1967) as she discusses her billboard project Welcome to the Misanthropocene (Origins of Ecofeminism), on view in the Miami Design District.
Group meets at 11am in Palm Court, and Tour will begin promptly. We will explore the history of the art and architecture that characterize the neighborhood, and hear from artist A.L. Steiner as she discusses her new billboard project Welcome to the Misanthropocene (Origins of Ecofeminism.)
Steiner will host a brief walk on the Miami River + studio visit with artist & designer James Quinaz, who built a collection of furniture using only objects found in Biscayne Bay and the Miami River as materials for his Bay Store project. Quinaz Studio focuses on sustainable production practices that minimize the use of harmful chemicals and materials
