Miami New Drama (MiND) ​is a theater company committed to artistic excellence and groundbreaking work with a vision of theatre as a powerful vehicle for social change and transformative educational experiences for youth. In Spring they are launching their first training program for teenagers MiND Theater Workshop an educative experience designed in collaboration with Limitless Health. Project activities will include courses focused on writing, voice, movement, & acting. Participants will benefit from training in performance and creation to reflect and respond to important issues in their daily lives and develop empathy and tools for artistic expression within their own community and space. They will culminate in a presentation of their own production in an open space to the public. Miami Light Project’s Technical Fellowship Program is a program designed to benefit early-career technicians and support the workforce development in Miami. We will provide free virtual technical theater workshops and paid work experience for emerging Miami-based technicians. Will a society engulfed by narcissism get the better of Cyrano - or can his mastery of language set Roxane’s world alight? “Lift Every Voice - Black Women Speak” features the reading of 14 monologues that unleash the thoughts and experiences of black women playwrights from across the country.
