Miami Light Project Technical Fellowship Program: Audio 101

An introduction to live sound for theater and events, including fundamentals of audio and console operation.
 

What You’ll Learn:

• Basics of sound systems and audio signal flow
• How to operate a sound console for live theater
• Common audio gear and best practices
• Tips for troubleshooting and working creatively in dynamic environments

The Technical Fellowship Program’s intensive training includes:

• Workshops focusing on Intro to Lighting, Audio, Video, Stage Management, Light Board, Finance and more.
• 40 hours of job training – hands-on, one-on-one observation and mentorship, gaining real-time, on-the-job experience backstage during live events.
• Paid internship – available for those who complete the 40 hours of job training and workshops.
• Employment opportunities.
