This event includes an interactive, multi-media lecture entitled, "The History of the Art of Magic" from 2700 B.C. to Present, by Rickydee, followed by a Magic Stage Show starring, Mentalist Alexander Beresford, the Amazing Jimmy C & Mr. Reynold Alexander. These events are made possible, with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
The Lecturer/Presenter is Rick Del Vecchio (Rickydee). Rick is a Life Member of both the Int'l Brotherhood of Magicians & the Society of American Magicians. Rickydee is a performer, mentor & producer of magic shows and conventions. As a performer he specializes in strolling/close-up magic. Corporate Clients include Dave & Buster's, Toyota, Ford, Subaru, Orange Bowl Committee, Ocean Reef Club & Coconut Grove Yacht Club to name a few. In 2015, after five years of mentoring, one of his students won the IBM Junior World Championship in Close-up Magic. Rick has produced shows for Jackson Memorial Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital, Nova University & the Museum of Science. Rick produced "Magic on the Beach" for 14 years. This was an annual magic convention that the NEW TIMES declared, "The BEST CONVENTION IN MIAM!"
