The Celestial Dance of India: a Night of Odissi Classical Dance featuring Rudrakshya Foundation
Odissi, a traditional dance from from Odiya, India is renowned as some of the finest in the world due to its unbroken connection to ancient spiritual art. For millenia dancers protrayed epic poems and stories in temples. In recent times, these temple arts have become available to the public mesmerizing and inspiring the masses.
For this event, Rudrakshya Foundation are traveling to Miami specifically from India. They will perform scenes from the classic Indian poem Gita Govinda composed by Sri Jayadeva Goswami in the 1100s. Sacred Vedic Arts will also exhibit famed spiritual artist Srimati Syamarani Dasi's line drawings and paintings to further illustrate the tales told by the dance.
