8:00 PM - 10:00 PM - "Kafe Negro: Cuba & The Haitian Revolution" is a film that explores the social, economic, and historical ramifications of the Haitian Revolution on Cuba. This documentary tells the story of migrations around a small grain that became the second most important raw material on the global market. It explores the waves of migration of Haitian workers who, over time, profoundly transformed the culture and demographics of Cuba and developed coffee growing on the island.
Includes a post-film virtual Q&A with director Mario Delatour.
