Revolutions Per Minute: A Night of One Acts Presented by Art ON / MAS Rep

Art On in conjunction with MAS Rep presents RPM: A Night of One Acts. Written by Miami native playwright Ozzie Quintana, the plays follow two stories of machismo and feminism spurring from both Cuban and Miami history. Almost a hundred years apart in time, but timeless in their content. Of Kings, which first premiered in 2018, throws you into the high risk street racing scene of the 1990s told through the local ones of characters that are all too familiar. A Woman in Battle, the second one act and Quintana's most recent play, defines the different interpretations of freedom using the stories of three woman in a Havana prison during the first Cuban Revolution of 1868. These shows beautifully visualize the Cuban culture and its prominence. Both winners of multiple awards at the Thespians One Acts Festival including Best Original Work.
