A Starry Night in September—Valerie Coleman and Friends Presented by Frost Music Live

Grammy nominated artist Valerie Coleman hosts and performs an evening of original chamber music, poetry and visual art. Special guests Alicia Hall Moran and Amanda Harberg are featured, as well as Frost School of Music faculty Shelly Berg, Margaret Donaghue, and Svet Stoyanov. The new Stamps Foundation Scholars Woodwind Quintet makes their performance debut on the program.

Tonight’s performance includes poetry by Margaret Danner, Maya Angelou, and Langston Hughes as well as visual artwork by Sonya Clark. Musicology Professor Melvin Butler leads a 30-minute pre-concert discussion. 

 

Teens and young adults ages 13-22 can buy tickets for $5 using the Get Tickets button below. With the purchase of one $5 ticket for someone within the age range, a second $5 ticket can be purchased for an individual of any age to join them.
