Miami Light Project Technical Fellowship Program: Lightboard Programming

An overview of lighting console programming—learn how to bring lighting cues to life during a live performance.
 

What You’ll Learn:

  • Introduction to lighting consoles and terminology
  • How to program and run cues for live events
  • Best practices for communication with lighting designers and stage managers
  • Real-world applications in theater and performance settings

The Technical Fellowship Program’s intensive training includes:
  • Workshops focusing on Intro to Lighting, Audio, Video, Stage Management, Light Board, Finance and more.
  • 40 hours of job training – hands-on, one-on-one observation and mentorship, gaining real-time, on-the-job experience backstage during live events.
  • Paid internship – available for those who complete the 40 hours of job training and workshops.
  • Employment opportunities.
