Over the past few weeks, we have been reimagining the ways in which Sosyete Koukouy connects people to books and authors online. We’re proud to announce the Little Haiti Book Festival Online! Programmed in partnership with Miami Book Fair, as in years past, and in collaboration with Books & Books and Libreri Mapou, the Little Haiti Book Festival Online will feature authors from Haiti and the Haitian diaspora, panel discussions and performances, and storytelling and dance for children, too! Here’s the schedule for various events that will take us through the last half of May, and all the way through June — we’ll celebrate Haitian Heritage Month, and Caribbean Heritage Month, too!

PANDEMIC AND HEALTH IN THE HAITIAN COMMUNITY
—Urological surgeon Dr. Angelo Gousse and obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Jean-Baptiste L. Charlot take a special look at the impact of COVID19 within the Haitian community. Moderated by Mirline Fourron of Sante Pa m. Special guest: music artist BélO and his acoustic guitar.
