Through folk songs, classical music and dance, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company’s Día de Muertos tells a love story that spans the boundary between the living and the dead. A loving couple, Lupita and Raul, fall victim to treachery and are separated, seemingly forever. Lupita then enters Mictlán, the underworld of Aztec mythology, where the mesmerizing Catrina reigns as queen.
