The Arsht Center’s free family series visits JL (Joe) and Enid W. Demps Park for an evening of music and film.
5:30 p.m. – Live performance by student ensemble The Mays String Quartet.
6 p.m. – South Florida sibling act Sons of Mystro will perform original music and genre-melding interpretations of reggae and pop classics.
7 p.m. – Screening of the Disney-Pixar movie Soul, about a band teacher’s visit to a spiritual realm and featuring the voices of Jamie Foxx, Angela Bassett, Tina Fey, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Daveed Diggs with music by Jon Batiste and Trent Reznor.
Admission to the Sons of Mystro concert and movie screening is free. Pack your chairs and blankets and arrive early to enjoy local food truck offerings for purchase.
