The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is hosting a free virtual film screening of Culture Concrete by Miami native Hattie Mae Williams. The online screening takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and will feature an interview with producer & choreographer Hattie Mae and Director of Picture and Original Score Christian Salazar hosted by Eulyce Eason, Dance Manager at The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. The site- specific dance film Culture Concrete, is a documentation that tells a story of the abandoned Miami Marine Stadium. A massive 6,000 seat concrete structure that floats on top of the historic Virginia Key water’s and vibrates with history, tragedy, beauty, and a felt presence. Registration is required and is accepted through Friday August 28, 2020.
Immediately following the film viewers we will have an opportunity to meet with producer & choreographer Hattie Mae and Director of Picture and Original Score Christian Salazar in a discussion moderated by Eulyce Eason, Dance Manager at The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center.
