The 5th Annual Art, Blues & Soul Festival Presented by African Heritage Cultural Arts Center

The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is presenting its fifth annual “Art, Blues & Soul Festival” during Art Basel Miami Beach weekend on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. The event, headlined this year by Grammy Award winning R&B and soul singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele, is an annual event that celebrates the arts, sounds, and flavors of Black Miami and will be held on the Center’s grounds at 6161 NW 22nd Avenue, Miami, at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Moonlight Way.

Chrisette Michele, best known for her hits “Epiphany (I’m Leaving),” and “A Couple of Forevers,” will perform at the Festival’s mainstage, as well as R&B and soul artist Jon B, and R&B and soul singer Glenn Jones. Other performances by sensational Miami talent feature Courtney Mickens and The Harden Project. Guests will be entertained by dynamic hosts Chello (BET’s Comicview) and DJ Chico the Leo. Local artists will display thought-provoking visual art and vendors will offer delicious food and enticing products. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center merchandise will also be available for purchase.

The Festival celebrates the rich history of the African Diaspora while providing an opportunity for local and national artists to share their music with the community. In 2020, the event was held virtually and streamed live on YouTube and Facebook. This year the Center grounds welcome back an in-person audience to enjoy the art and the music while the main campus and buildings finalize large scale renovations. The Festival is generously sponsored by Greater Miami Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Art of Black Miami.
