MIAMI, FL (September 20, 2023) – Culture Shock Miami will showcase fun musical events this fall, including Shaun Boothe’s The Unauthorized Biography Series on September 28 and 29, 2023 as part of a free school field trip initiative at Miami-Dade County Auditorium with an additional community engagement at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. Later this fall, B2wins’ Top 40 From The Last 40 will take to the main stage of the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center on October 13, 2023. Both artists are part of the 10th anniversary season of Culture Shock Miami Presents, the program’s curated annual series.

Shaun Boothe’s transformative musical project, The Unauthorized Biography Series, celebrates some of the world's greatest cultural icons through biographical hip-hop songs. As a recording artist and motivational speaker, Boothe showcases the legacy of a positive and influential iconic figure in a documentary-style music video. Bob Marley, Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King Jr., Barack Obama, Bruce Lee, Oprah Winfrey, Tupac Shakur, Terry Fox, Nelson Mandela, and Malala Yousafzai are among the icons he has featured.

On October 13, B2wins will perform at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center. Their performance will feature unique and uplifting renditions of the “Top 40 From the Last 40,” music the audience will know and love, with creative twists – improvisation, humor, and even a ukulele.

Pronounced “B-Twins,” this high-energy group led by charismatic twin brothers from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil combines a host of genres with a “feel good” performance that is equal parts rock concert, dance party, and jam session. Fans of all ages will sing, dance, and laugh along with the music of renowned artists such as Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, Michael Jackson and Daft Punk, and Leonard Cohen and Nirvana. After performing over 1,000 shows around the globe in the past decade, B2wins are on a mission to make the world smile.

About Culture Shock Miami
Culture Shock Miami, the audience development program of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, is designed to introduce the next generation of audience members to live arts and cultural experiences at the age when they are beginning to make their own entertainment decisions. Based on research that shows most people begin their appreciation for the arts at a young age, Culture Shock Miami is founded on the premise that when teens and young adults make the arts a regular entertainment choice, they are more likely to become full-price ticket buyers and subscribers in the future. Through its website, teens and young adults (ages 13-22), can purchase $5 tickets to top music, theater, and dance performances, as well as admission to museums, landmarks, and cultural destinations in and around Miami-Dade County. With the purchase of one $5 ticket for a 13–22-year-old, a second $5 ticket can be purchased for someone of any age to accompany them.

Culture Shock Miami Presents, a series dedicated to presenting nationally and internationally renowned artists that appeal specifically to the 13–22-year-old age range, was created in 2013 and presents more than a dozen performances each season to the public and through free school field trips. Culture Shock Miami Presents was recognized with a 2018 Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties (NACo).

Culture Shock Miami is made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
