Black History: Changing the Carbon Footprint Presented by A Reflection of Me

In honor of Black History month, we are hosting a virtual celebration; Black History: Changing the Carbon Footprint on Sunday February 21, 2021 to uplift, to promote and to educate on the Black culture through the use of the arts.

Come partake in our performances; dance, art, music, taste of the South during our food and beverage demonstrations. We’re honored to have Human Rights Activist and writer, Dr. Richard Lapchick as our keynote speaker. Our first female Mayor for Miami Dade County, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will share a message commemorating Black History month. Our founder and multimedia artist, Isaie Zeek Mathias will reveal a few new and powerful art pieces which speak of the road we’ve travelled and the conversations that need to be had to move forth.

The event will be hosted by Dr. Laine Powell, founder of Tech Sassy Girlz. So much will be packed into our 2-hour event, Julius Tillery of Black Cotton will speak on his family’s legacy. Zeal and Dr. Nancy Calixte voices will soothe the soul, Anasthasia and Josh will have us swaying with their dance moves. George Slade will have our mouthwatering, while Naama will guide us in quenching our thirst.

Join us as we artistically and through conversation race against the clock to reduce, change and recover from the effects of layers of negativity towards Blacks around the world. Join us for Black History: Changing the Carbon Footprint. We want all to come and be a part of our evolutionary event.
